About LinkXs
The serious game LinkXs offers a challenging framework to analyze collaboration, communication, and personal leadership within and across teams. While playing, LinkXs provides teams with the opportunity to discuss possible blockages in team performance and find effective strategies to resolve them.
LinkXs challenges teams to solve a puzzle as quickly as possible, but with a unique twist. At the start of the game, teams are only given one puzzle piece that they know belongs to them. Alongside this, they receive a series of pieces that may or may not belong to their puzzle. Guided by rules, teams must work together to exchange pieces, allocate resources, and collaborate to figure out the puzzle.
While progressing through the game, teams must rely on each other to obtain the missing components they need to complete their puzzle. This creates dynamics and a lot of energy and fun. But it also evokes recognizable and natural behavior. Participants become aware of their own behavior and reflect on it. This provides valuable insights for people’s work practices, which can be used to find the road to more effective behavior in the workplace.
